What was new in v8.7.0?

Main new features and improvements

The new HTTP(S) interface (31.001018) allows to retrieve data from or send data to web services. Web services are an ubiquitous and well known Internet-based technology. Possible applications for connecting 3rd party systems are diverse and range from measuring devices to messenger services and databases.

The new Snapshots interface (30.770026) can be used to buffer signal data for a period of time, after which calculations can be performed on the data, using a computation or InSpectra Expert module. The results are written to a DAT file (snapshot), along with the corresponding buffered signal data.

ibaM-COM (10.180010) is supported which allows as a head station to connect ibaMAQS modules to ibaPDA via ibaNet-E.

The interface ibaPDA-EtherNet/IP supports now multiple connections from the same IP address.

To allow user-specific texts to describe the module or its function, a comment can be added to modules which is displayed as a tooltip.
